More about me
Prior to my course, I firstly started programming completing small projects in command line using C++ and progressed to C# for mobile game development in Unity before my college course. My first project is the game called Planet Clicker which after getting published on Google Play Store managed to get 7000+ downloads. Since August 2022, the game is also available on Apple's App Store.
Along my game development journey, not only I have developed skills regarding the software used such as Unity and Blender but I have also improved my researching skills while finding out if it is worth starting a new project or if the idea I have in my mind already exists and the skills regarding working independently and organising the workflow using tools such as Trello. While working on different projects, I have also discovered the fact that I like building content for people as well as helping people through my work.
As a part of my course I attended an industry placement for web development and design at Spacebar where I have had the opportunity to be the team leader. I have also learned to use tools such as WordPress for creating the website and Plesk Obsidian for managing the domains. I believe I have also improved my skills when it comes to communication and team work. During my web development journey, I have also took part in the Website Design competition organised by WorldSkills UK and managed to qualify as Top 9 UK website designers in 2021.
During my free time I also play around in my home network lab. In the lab, I have deployed solutions such as NextCloud which is a self-hosted cloud solution, BitWarden which is a self-hosted password manager and Home Assistant which is a self-hosted tool for smart homes. All of these solutions were deployed on a few Raspberry Pi computers running Debian with Docker containers.
